Introduction to Blocks

NetzBuilder uses a modular web system that lets you re-use multiple design blocks on different pages and even different websites to standardize your editing and for rapid development. Design blocks or as we call them just “Blocks” are building pieces of responsive and innovative code both for web and mobile. Blocks allow you to have beautiful and modern websites in minutes. You can use blocks that come with NetzBuilder or make your own.

The concept behind NetzBuilder is to build web pages using different blocks to achieve a clean, organized, and beautiful website. Blocks are complete sections of a web page, like for example a header, a footer, a contact form, an image gallery, etc.

When used inside a web page, blocks are stacked on top of each other. Web pages are designed to be scrolled up or down and since blocks are entire pieces of a web page you cannot have multiple blocks side by side. Blocks are always horizontally oriented and expand across the full width of the browser viewport.

You will find all available blocks in the sidebar on the left side of NetzBuilder by clicking on the BLOCKS option.

There are no limitations on the number of blocks that can be placed within a web page.

To use a block in one of your pages, simply choose the block you want to use, click, and then drag it into the canvas. Release the mouse button to drop the block on the desired location (you will see a gray placeholder on the canvas to indicate where the block will appear).

Ordering blocks on the canvas

It is possible to change the order in which blocks appear on the canvas. To change the order of an entire block, click on the gear icon to open the options for the block you want to move. Then click and hold on the option called “Drag and drop this block”. Now drag the block up or down depending on where you want to move it, then release the mouse button to drop it on the new desired location.
