What is the Whois?

As the name reflects, Who-IS is an online database service that allows public and free queries to check if a specific domain name is available or registered, if it is not available, who is the registered owner and other associated details that belong to the domain name registration.

It is basically a directory used as a tool to consult registered domains on the Internet. If you do not want your private contact information to appear on this service, you can opt-in for a private registration with our ID Protect service available on some domain extensions. With this feature enabled, we hide some, or all details from public queries on your registered domain name.
