Netz0 sends several notifications prior the expiration of a domain name on your account. You can renew your domains at any time manually or schedule an automatic renewal, so there is no need to wait until the last day.

The ownership and rights of a name are only covered until the paid day and stops working on that date. If you have a website, email, or other services associated with an expired name, they stop working with that name. If you see a domain parking page reporting it expired, then that domain was already deactivated by the registrar.

However, Netz0 provides a few additional days (grace period) for certain extensions under which an expired domain can be renewed with the regular renewal procedure. Take into account that not all extensions allow renewing expired domains and the grace period is different depending on the extension. These conditions are imposed by the registrar of the extension and are completely optional. For example, particular country domains cannot be renewed once expired, even if you try to renew them the same day. Other extensions have additional fees if renewed past their due date.

Netz0 attempts to renew a domain immediately after payment. If successful, your domain automatically begins to operate globally, however, just like you do not see the expiration page immediately when a domain expires, neither will you see the domain running immediately on renewal.

Domain names are subject to DNS propagation changes on the Internet, by which major changes like DNS modifications or changes in the state of the registration spread slowly on the Internet. This process is not related to Netz0 and applies to any expired domain which was renewed, in any service or company, since the process works the same for all domains on the Internet.

The process may take a few hours (4-72 hours) depending on the physical location in which you are located, the configuration of the DNS servers of your ISP provider that gives you access to the Internet, the local DNS in your computer as well other factors.

It is possible that someone in the United States sees your domain running immediately after renewal, but someone in Australia will not until a few hours.

If you see the expired page of a domain, the domain probably stopped working on the Internet hours ago. By the moment in which you see that page in your web browser, it is already late, and your domain is not working. Even if you do not see the expired page and renew the domain the same day it expires, is likely that other people in the world have not been able to access the domain or if they sent you emails they were rejected.

For these reasons, it is important not to wait until the last day to avoid interruptions or lose ownership of a domain. If you just renewed an expired domain name, you should wait several hours until it is reactivated again on the Internet. If you do not see an expired domain in your Netz0 account, contact us to check if it still can be recovered.
