This Schedule applies to Netz0 monitoring services, whether included with another service or purchased as an add-on or standalone plan. Where this Schedule conflicts with the master Terms, this Schedule prevails for these services.
1. The Service
Netz0 monitoring performs periodic checks you configure — such as HTTP, ping, port, and DNS checks — against the targets you specify, and alerts you through the channels available in your plan (such as email, SMS, or phone). Check types, check frequency, alert channels, and the number of checks are defined by your plan or by the service that includes monitoring, and are shown in your account.
2. What Monitoring Is — and Is Not
Monitoring is observation, not prevention. It does not fix, protect, or guarantee the availability of the monitored target; the SLA of the monitored service (where it is a Netz0 service) is defined in the SLA, not here.
Monitoring included free with another service is provided per Section 12 of the master Terms: as-is, best-effort, with no guarantee that any given check will execute, that every incident will be detected, or that any alert will be delivered or delivered timely. Alert delivery additionally depends on third-party networks (email providers, SMS carriers, telephone networks) outside Netz0's control. Monitoring is not a substitute for your own monitoring of systems that are critical to you.
3. Your Targets
You may monitor only targets you own or are authorized to monitor. Configuring checks against third-party systems without authorization may constitute unauthorized probing under the AUP. Check configurations are processed by Netz0-operated monitoring nodes; checks reference only the technical target (address, port, record) and carry no account information.
4. History and Retention
Check results and history are retained for the period defined by your plan — currently twelve (12) months for included monitoring, with longer retention available on paid plans as described at purchase. History is deleted with the monitoring service per the master Terms.
