Major operating system upgrades involve changing or upgrading the operating system to a major new release. This is normally not provided by regular updates and requires installing a new operating system. Not all operating systems support an upgrade in place and may require an entirely new installation.
Our team is going to help in the process and migrate your existing data to a new major operating system before your existing version is end of life (EOL). This involves planning the upgrade, normally on a new server (if required) and then migrating data or proper backup procedures to attempt upgrading an existing running system in place (if supported).
With Netz0 you can leave our team major upgrades to servers that need to be retired or upgraded to a new Windows Server version or from your preferred Linux distro. Examples are for example upgrading Red Hat 8 to Red Hat 9 or Windows Server 2019 to 2022.
