What are the allowed characters while registering a domain?

The valid characters for a domain name registration include letters from A to Z and numbers from 0 to 9.

You can also use a hyphen to combine words or letters, but your domain cannot begin or end with a hyphen.

Example:

-netztest.com = Invalid

netz-test.com = Valid

Besides the hyphen, you cannot use any other special characters or symbol such as @, +, &, etc.

There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters; they are considered equivalent in a domain.

The maximum allowable length is 64 characters.
